Construction Documents (CDs) or Working Drawings: a set of drawings used by a contractor to construct a specific space. CDs include floor plans, structural plans, and electrical plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans and any other applicable elevations, schedules and details.
Design Concept: A scheme, plan or other organizing idea that drives the design decisions on a project.
Design Theme: An implicit or recurrent idea; a motif.
Elevations: Scale drawings of the side, front, or rear view of a structure.
Floor Plans: Scale diagrams of a room or building drawn as if seen from above, cut at 4 feet from the floor.
Green Design: Design that is environmentally conscious and responsible.
IIDA: International Interior Design Association.
Interior Designer: a person who specializes in designing architectural interiors and their furnishings.
Perspectives: The technique of representing three-dimensional objects and depth relationships on a two-dimensional surface.
Universal Design: Design that is accessible to every person of every physical ability.
