Erin Longmoon • The Mind Behind Mesh
A passion for Interior Design has driven Erin Longmoon for as long as she can remember. "Even when I was a little girl, I moved the furniture in my room around at least once a month," she laughs. Raised in the "suburban wilderness" outside of metropolitan San Diego, her sensibility has been sculpted by her extensive world travels. Vibrant cities, sleepy towns, imposing mountains, and serene deserts, Erin draws inspiration from them all. "I always try to broaden my horizons with new ideas," she confesses. "From Japanese modern to vintage cottage, I can work from any influence."
Erin has worked as a design consultant since 1990. Her deepening commitment to visual and spatial expression led her to Bellevue Community College where she earned a degree in Interior Design. This prestigious program focused on Interior Architecture and Space Planning as well as aesthetic design. Here Erin learned to utilize familiar materials and methods in innovative ways. In addition to her degree, Erin served a one-year internship in Residential Design.
Erin's credits include various awards at local design competitions and an appearance on HGTV's Smart Solutions, where she rose to the challenge of transforming a college dorm room into a lively personal space. In addition to her work in Interior Design, Erin works closely with local real estate agents and their clients to optimize residential environments for sale.
Erin's energetic, compassionate and creative presence fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere where clients are free to express and explore their own unique styles, needs and desires for their spaces. "I really believe in the client-designer relationship," she says with sincerity. "In my experience, collaboration brings out the best in everyone and results in the most satisfying and exciting Interior Design."
